[2023/11/07 16:22] Alicia Frakture: Leesha looks at Dahlia and pats her shoulder to invite her to sit and ride

[2023/11/07 16:24] Sonja Bikergrrl: Dahlia is not very heavy, so... off you go! The time passes, it's a way to the village, when, something very bizarre starts to happen. There's sparks, crackles, and a glowing sphere starts to appear above the road, shimmering and swelling with jagged bolts zapping onto things - especially metal things - stinging you and making your hair stand on end

[2023/11/07 16:26] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben moves to the side of the road, trying to keep behind a try while watching it.
[2023/11/07 16:26] Alicia Frakture: Leesha does the same, moving out of the way
[2023/11/07 16:27] Sonja Bikergrrl: *loud crackling, popping, and it's apparant there's a shadow of a humanoid figure in there*
[2023/11/07 16:28] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben frowns, having hoped this was going to be the promised vehicle. apparently it's someone else!
[2023/11/07 16:28] Alicia Frakture: Leesha looks at Dahlia."You might want to head over to Debben." As she draws the wrench
[2023/11/07 16:30] Sonja Bikergrrl: *flash* *crackle* *POP!!!* the sphere "bursts" and there's a brief discharge of energy, a human figure is suddenly three feet above the road, and they -slam- heavily onto the hard dirt. "OOoooouffff! Arg!" The groans sound curiously "flat" in tone.
[2023/11/07 16:30] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (kitten.venus): nodded and flew as fast as she could over to Debben now staying just above and little behind her
[2023/11/07 16:32] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben, pondering getting a big enough hat for Dhalia to hide in as well, eyes the strange figure from behind the tree, studying their dress
[2023/11/07 16:32] Alicia Frakture: Leesha looks at the being."Gonna hate myself but... You okayu?" AS she taps the body with her wrench
[2023/11/07 16:35] Sonja Bikergrrl: The figure groans and flinches, pushing themself up to their elbows. It looks human... with blackened skin... and curious patches that seem to be fused with the skin... and funny metal strands... and curious thick strings here and there. Various items are clipped to a belt, mostly cylindrical in shape. "Uuhhhh...." They move a hand to their mouth. "I'm... fine..." the voice sounds very flat still. "Command? Come in... hello?" They shake their hand and curse.

[2023/11/07 16:37] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "I don't know about 'command', but I'm Debben. What army do you come from that you're trying to find your command?"
[2023/11/07 16:39] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (kitten.venus): /me looking at the strange figure her head tllted, eyes wide with curiosity, she listened as Debben spoke to the odd figure....flinging a bit of pixie dust at it and watching to see how it might react as they spoke...
[2023/11/07 16:39] Alicia Frakture: Keeps the wrench out, just in case
[2023/11/07 16:39] Sonja Bikergrrl: The person finally rises, and brushes themself - himself? - off. "Greetings, Debben. I'm from the Corporation, and..." The voice is still flat, and you realize that his lips aren't moving. "...you're not humans? Are there no humans?"
[2023/11/07 16:40] Sonja Bikergrrl: The figure raises a hand and waves the dust off, glaring at Dahlia.
[2023/11/07 16:41] Alicia Frakture: There might be humans, but who...what are you?
[2023/11/07 16:41] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: He's glaring at Dahlia instead of me?
[2023/11/07 16:41] Sonja Bikergrrl: The figure shakes his head, as if to clear it. "I'm here to protect... someone... Have you seen any of the Sedition?"
[2023/11/07 16:42] Sonja Bikergrrl: (Yes, since Dahlia flung dust at him)
[2023/11/07 16:42] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (kitten.venus): looked to Debben , "I don't think it likes shiny glittery things too much...."
[2023/11/07 16:42] Alicia Frakture: What is the sedition?
[2023/11/07 16:42] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "I guess it likes it's armor clean," she answers back to Dhalia.
[2023/11/07 16:43] Sonja Bikergrrl: "Bad humans," answers the person, in that same flat tone without moving his lips. "I'm here to protect - along with my squad."
[2023/11/07 16:45] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben eyes him for weapons. "You're the first of Corporation I've met."
[2023/11/07 16:46] Sonja Bikergrrl: The figure looks past Debben. "Humans... these are friends of yours?"
[2023/11/07 16:47] Alicia Frakture: Corporation? Sedition? What is going on?
[2023/11/07 16:48] Sonja Bikergrrl: You get the feeling that you aren't alone on the road, not just because this person is looking past you.
[2023/11/07 16:48] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (kitten.venus): looks around to see who the the figure is looking at a little confused by its strange words, "Your not from anywhere around here are you?" she flew closer flitting around the strange being and then back just behind Debben
[2023/11/07 16:48] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "Friends would be pushing it. There's a handful I think are decent, but most of them....eh." She glances behind herself.
[2023/11/07 16:50] Alicia Frakture: Leesha tries to look behind as well, while keeping an eye on this new arrival as well."
[2023/11/07 16:50] Sonja Bikergrrl: "Not from ... your time," the figure says. Glancing behind you, you see two somewhat surprised looking peasants. They look at Debben, then Leesha, take a quick look at the person... then at each other. "100 gold, we can do this..." They advance, reaching into their cloaks.
[2023/11/07 16:51] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "100 gold ain't worth your lives, kids," Debben tells the approaching peasants.
[2023/11/07 16:52] Sonja Bikergrrl: "A dwarf and a green skin, make peace with your gods!" The other one hesitates slightly, then both draw short swords.
[2023/11/07 16:54] Alicia Frakture: Leesha looks at them and shakes her head." I'm gonna rip both of your heads off an swap em on yer bodies."Leesha says before walking to the peasants tapping the wrench in her hand."You two are keeping me from family.
[2023/11/07 16:55] Sonja Bikergrrl: The hesitant one glances at his companion, who just snarls and lunges with his sword at Leesha. "Die!" he snarls... it's an impressive move, but he just misses, scraping the edge of Leeshas' armour
[2023/11/07 16:55] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "you don't know dwarven gods very well, do you?" she replies, getting her spear ready, bouncing on her heels to start counter circling these guys, moving between the trees at irregular speeds to break line of sight on her.
[2023/11/07 16:56] Sonja Bikergrrl: A flat voice from behind you: "Sorry, this is not my fight." You hear the person hurrying away and darting into the trees
[2023/11/07 16:56] Alicia Frakture: Leesha swings her wrench at the peasant. Not actually going for a kill, but a simple knock out
[2023/11/07 16:56] Sonja Bikergrrl: with a wrench? That's a lethal weapon...
[2023/11/07 16:57] Alicia Frakture: *It is but the chance to pull a punch.. not that it matters rolled a 5*
[2023/11/07 16:57] Sonja Bikergrrl: Oops. Miss, then!
[2023/11/07 16:57] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: She could aim for limb-breaks isntead of headshots
[2023/11/07 16:57] Sonja Bikergrrl: Dahlia, Debben?
[2023/11/07 16:57] Sonja Bikergrrl: (-2 penalty to called shots, if that's what you want to do)
[2023/11/07 16:58] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: ( Is it the full -2 if the call is "any limb" ?
[2023/11/07 16:58] Sonja Bikergrrl: (Not a called shot if it's "any limb" but then it's a regular attack.)
[2023/11/07 16:59] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben, in addition to moving around the trees, is looking for a good opening to leap forwards and stab one of these peasants while they're distracted by Leesha!
[2023/11/07 16:59] Sonja Bikergrrl: One is clearly thinking they can deal with Leesha, the other decides Debben is easier

[2023/11/07 17:01] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (kitten.venus): /me flying back behind Debben and the main fighting to use her sling and throw a stone at one of the peasants

[2023/11/07 17:03] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Well, debben will try a called shot to the leg on the one that is going after Leesha
[2023/11/07 17:03] Sonja Bikergrrl: /me blinks... a GOOD hit... the peasant gets the stone to the head and just collapses
[2023/11/07 17:04] Sonja Bikergrrl: The remaining peasant looks round in alarm, sees his comrade falling with a spray of blood and tosses down his sword. "Okay! Okay! I give up, I'll go!"
[2023/11/07 17:05] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "On your knees," she orders, moving up to kick the sword further away from him. "Who put you up to this?"
[2023/11/07 17:06] Sonja Bikergrrl: The man just stares at you, blinking. "NO! I can't tell you... I have a wife and kids!" He turns tail and just flees back up the road
[2023/11/07 17:07] Alicia Frakture: Leesha checks the other guy to see if he is dead or just knocked out
[2023/11/07 17:07] Sonja Bikergrrl: He's dead... you don't bleed that much from the head and live.
[2023/11/07 17:09] Sonja Bikergrrl: Now what?
[2023/11/07 17:09] Alicia Frakture: Search the body and then head to town.
[2023/11/07 17:10] Sonja Bikergrrl: Not much to find... three copper coins, the sword is just a cheap battered old sword... are you expecting a scroll... you are? There's a scroll, written in some bizarre language.
[2023/11/07 17:11] Sonja Bikergrrl: You can't help feeling "welcome back to the real world". Also... you can't help feeling this is just the perfect spot to end on a cliffhanger!
[2023/11/07 17:11] Sonja Bikergrrl: DMs call this a "hint" :)
